Darkness Surrounding is a metal band from Wuppertal, Germany.
Their style is best described as Melodic Death Metal, mixed with influences from many other genres.
Their music is characterized by driving riffs, catchy melodic elements, and a blend of clean and aggressive vocals. Complemented by the vocal duo of Kessi and Tim, the listener is set for an enthralling listening experience!
The band released their debut album „Reality Unreal“ in the beginning of 2022.
The whole album was recorded in the legendary Maarweg Studios, Cologne.
In 2022 and 2023, new singles and music videos were released.
In November 2023, Darkness Surrounding signed to WeLive Agency as their booking agency.
In 2024, the band played numerous festivals such as Metal Frenzy, Turock Fest and Metal Hammer Paradise and embarked on their first EU-tour as support for „The Iron Maidens“.
Furthermore, the band released their single „Lethargy“ in October of 2024.
In 2025, the band released the singles „Virtue`s End“, „Choke On Your Mistakes“ and „Achromatica“ which are part of their upcoming album.
The second studio album „Is there Salvation?“ was released on September 19th via CMM Promotion. The new album represents a clear evolution of the band`s sound compared to their debut „Reality Unreal“, scoring with improved songwriting and production.
